🔺 Can We Get A Dozen? And the list just keeps growing and growing.

This week, the Mason women’s hoops program made it a dozen weekly Atlantic 10 awards on the season with the second sweep of the accolades. Ta’Viyanna Habib took home her first-ever Player of the Week honor, while Zahirah Walton was named the Rookie of the Week for the sixth time this season.

The dynamic duo helped the Patriots earn a critical 2-0 week and stay in prime position for a top-four seed in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Tournament.

🔺 The Year of Firsts. The start of the 2024 season has already been historic for the Mason women’s lacrosse team.

Off to the best start in program history, one of their own achieved a first of her own as Shannon Tuozzo earned her first career A-10 weekly accolade.

Tuozzo scored 11 goals to help lead the Green & Gold to a perfect 2-0 week and push their historic start to 5-0 this spring.

🔺 Touch ‘Em All. Senior outfielder Jordan Smith took that saying literally.

Facing off against Big Ten foe Purdue, Smith unleashed fury in the batter’s box, hitting for the third cycle in program history in Saturday’s 11-9 victory over the Boilermakers.

For his achievement, Smith was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

He went 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in the game.

Smith hit a solo home run in the first inning, singled in the second inning, tripled in the sixth and doubled in the seventh against the Boilermakers in the game.

🔺 Heartbreak in the Bronx. Conference play. It’s not for the faint of heart.

A timely barrage from long range doomed the Mason men’s hoops team as the Patriots fell victim to a furious comeback by Fordham on Tuesday night, dropping a 61-60 heartbreaker in the Bronx.

Sophomore Keyshawn Hall led the Patriots with 15 points while senior Darius Maddox added 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
