On the field of competition, it takes teamwork and dedication to capture championships and thrilling moments.

That same teamwork and dedication was shown off the field as well by the Mason supporters this past week at the annual golf fundraising event to benefit the Patriot Club Annual Fund.

This years event was held at Evergreen Country Club with all proceeds supporting scholarships to provide the Mason student-athletes with the opportunity for academic and athletic success.

🔺 Here To Stay. The Patriots are on the rise and they’re not stopping anytime soon.

Late last week, Director of Athletics Marvin Lewis announced a contract extension with Mason wrestling head coach Frank Beasley. The extension takes Beasley through the 2029 with the Patriots.

During his seven seasons in Fairfax, Beasley has built the Green & Gold into a steadily improving program. For the second consecutive season, the Patriots took home11 wins, which tied the most wins in a season since the 2007-08 season when the Patriots finished with a 13-5 record. 

The Patriots finished a program-best third place at the 2024 MAC championship, only two points out of second and besting last year's previous best sixth-place finish.

🔺 Celebrating Success. As we mentioned, it was another successful year on the mats for the Patriots and they continue to flex their muscles in the MAC and the national scene.

Last week, the Green & Gold got together to celebrate the year that was and honor some outstanding performances and individuals at their annual team banquet.

Great times were had, memories shared and much, much more!
