🔺 Class Acts. This winter, it was a special season on the mats for the George Mason wrestling program.

That success continued off the mat as the Patriots yet again were honored for their academic success this week.

Out of nearly 80 Division I wrestling programs, the Green & Gold finished seventh overall to earn a Top-30 Scholar All-America Team honor from the NWCA. It marks the second straight year in the top-10 for the Patriots.

🔺 Tuesday, Tuesday. It was a big day on the courts for the Mason tennis squads as special players made special plays en route to a sweep of visiting Shenandoah.

On the men’s side, the Patriots swept the opposition en route to their third straight win, while the women picked up their fifth win of the season with a 5-2 victory.

🔺 Sweepin’ It Up. The Mason men’s volleyball team swept Harvard this past weekend. They swept their home matches. And the sweeping just continued.

Omar Hoyos and Colin Heath helped the Patriots sweep the EIVA Weekly Awards as Hoyos was named Offensive Player of the Week and Heath earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

This is their first time receiving an EIVA Weekly award this season for both, first one in Colin's career and Omar's fourth time in his career receiving a weekly award.

🔺 Bobby’s World. It’s Bobby’s World, we’re just living in it.

Bobby Kestyn is making sure his last season in his hometown is a special one as the Fairfax, Va. native earned Field Performer of the Week accolades for the second time this year.

This past weekend, the grad student broke his on record in the discus throw at his final home meet, the Dalton Ebanks Invitational.

18 years ago, it was a time, we’d never forget.

Mason Madness took over not just the Mid-Atlantic region, but the entire country.
