Patriot Brew 11/1: Wake up, It's The First Of The Month

November Is Upon Us And That Means Mason Hoops is BACK

Good Morning Mason Nation. It’s the best turn of a calendar all year.

November is upon us and that only means one thing.

The return of Mason Hoops. We’re almost there. We can almost taste it!

🖐 Days Away!

What all is stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out!

🏀 We Ready
🤼‍♂️ Honoring the Legends
⭐ And much, much more!

🔼 Gimme Five. Tick, tick, tick… we’re getting closer!

Only 5️⃣ days separates us from the return of Mason Hoops and the start of the Coach Skinn era.

The Patriots had two exhibition tune-ups against NAIA power St. Thomas and a road trip to West Virginia.

It’s a completely new look squad from the one that won 20 games a year ago with 11 newcomers including eight different transfers.

🔼 That’s How We SHOW OUT! And that’s why Mason Nation is the best!

What a showing at the first Coach’s Show with Coach Skinn at Capital Ale House on Monday night!

Coach Skinn and Coach Blair-Lewis joined “Voice of the Patriots” Bill Rohland in front of a packed house to preview the upcoming season!

We’ll have more awesome shows and special guests throughout the season at Capital Ale House.

The next episode is set for Monday, November 13th at 7 pm. You don’t want to miss it!

🔼 Ready To Roll. Five days. Just over 120 hours.

That’s all that separates us from the full return of Mason hoops and it all gets started with the women’s squad hitting the court at EagleBank Arena next Monday against Bowie State at 2 p.m.

The Green & Gold return four starters and welcome seven newcomers to a team that won 16 games last year and earned a spot in the A-10 quarterfinals, taking top-seeded UMass to the wire.

This past weekend, Fairfax welcomed home some legends as the George Mason Wrestling hosted its first-ever Wrestling Hall of Fame weekend.

One of the most successful programs opened a new chapter this weekend, welcoming back alumni, coaches and and its 1974 undefeated team.

This event celebrated the rich history of George Mason that dates back more than 50 years to the 1972-1973 season.
The inaugural induction included: the undefeated 1974 team, Johnny Curtis '93, Matt Finacchio '95, Bryan Hazard '96, Scott Kirsch '91, Paul Maltagliati '83, Sean Shea '01, Dan Wotring '81, Head Coach Mike Moyer, 1985-1995 and Head Coach Roger Rinker, 1974-1981.

In addition to the weekend, the newly renovated Mason wrestling room has a new name, the Wotring Family Wrestling Room. The honor recognizes the former wrestler and his family's passionate support to George Mason spanning more than five decades.
