Happy Friday Patriots. We’re not sure what State College, Pa. looks like on a Saturday night, but one thing iss for sure, it’s going to quite lit this weekend.
Our boys are headed to The ‘Ship and we can’t wait to watch them battle the Nittany Lions!

🔺 Headed To The Ship. For the first time since 2021, the Patriots are headed to the ‘ship.
Mason men’s volleyball team rolled past Charleston, 3-0, on Thursday afternoon to earn a spot in Saturday’s EIVA Championship match.
The win moved the Green & Gold to 18-9 on the year, the most wins in a season since 2016.
Senior Jack Bolz led the offensive attack with 18 kills, while Troy McDonald dished out 38 assists.
Defensively, sophomore libero Paul Wyszynski was critical for the Patriots, recording 11 digs.
🔺 Head Of Class. It was a hugely successful year on the mats for the Mason wrestling program.
That success carried over into the classroom as 9️⃣ Patriots were named to the 2024 Academic All-MAC team this week.
The nine Patriots was the second most in the MAC and second-most in the five years of being a member of the MAC.
Three members of the program were repeat honorees with Paul Pierce is a three-time MAC All-Academic, while Malachi DuVall and Tyler Kocak earned the accolade for the second time.
🔺 Diamond Weekend. It looks like a perfect outdoor weekend with great weather in store.
No better place to spend that weekend outside than rooting on the Patriots and we’ve got plenty of chances as both the baseball and softball squads are at home in HUGE Atlantic 10 series.
The baseball boys host the Minutemen of UMass, starting with a 3pm Friday showdown, followed by Saturday at 2 and Sunday at 1.
On the softball field, the Patriots host the A-10 leading Billikens of Saint Louis in a Saturday doubleheader at 12, followed by a single game at 12 pm on Sunday.
👏 RAISING THE BAR
For Mason Athletics, its been a record-setting season in
many ways on the field, court, track, and any competitive surface.
While the Patriots are on the rise in against their opponents, Mason Nation is on the rise as well, raising the bar once again during this year’s eighth
annual Vision Day earlier this month.
George Mason Athletics had more than 900 unique donors contribute a record $467,000 to ensure the success of Patriots' student-athletes and enhance their experience on campus. That's an increase of more than $50,000 the dollar amount from 2023, as Mason Athletics had 565 donors and raised $416,690 on last year's Giving Day.
"We are grateful and sincerely appreciative of all of the support and generosity of our fans, donors, staff and campus community to make Mason Vision Day a great success," said Assistant Vice President, Director of Athletics Marvin Lewis. "It was truly a team effort and a perfect illustration of the community's commitment to our 500-plus student-athletes who proudly wear Green & Gold and continue to be outstanding ambassadors of our university."
