🔼 Pitch Perfect. No better way to head into conference play than on a hot streak.

Mason’s men’s soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to three with a dominating 4-0 home victory over Navy on Monday night behind two goals from newcomer Souley Diouf and a strong night by the Green & Gold defense.

Diouf got the scoring started 27 minutes into the contest and new faces, Asparuh Slavov and Davis Crittenden also scored to help Mason pull away from the Midshipmen.

🔼 On Course. Sophomore Aryan Vuradi continues to prove he can play among the region’s best.

As a team, Mason finished seventh in the talented 14-team field.

Freshman JJ Powell carded the best round of the tournament for Mason with a one-under par 69 in the second round.

🔼 Holding Court. You know how to make an impression? Win the first tournament you play at your new school.

🔼 The Journey Continues. A long standing force on the court for Mason’s women’s basketball team is lacing them up once again.

For four years, Livija Kaktaite was a key cog for the Patriots, playing in 90 games, earning team captain status for her final two seasons and provided critical leadership for the Green and Gold.

Last season, Kaktaite served as a graduate assistant coach for Mason and now she’s headed to the professional circuit as she signed on to join Kauno Aistės-LSMU in the Lithuanian Professional League.

🏀 ON THE GRIND

We are under two months away from the start of Mason hoops and the Green and Gold are grinding away to prepare for the official start of practice in less than two weeks.

Lock in those schedules. We’ll be back at EagleBank Arena soon!

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Six.

Adding 16 new faces to a roster is never easy, especially when they are coming from different home countries, different colleges and some from high school.

However, this fall, the Green and Gold have jelled quickly with six different newcomers finding the back of the net.

Along with Diouf, Abdul Kamara, Asparuh Slavov and Davis Crittenden have all scored for the Patriots.

⭐️ Oooooooo…. You’re halfway there! Enjoy your Wednesday, y’all!
