🔺 ZahZah’s World. After winning back-to-back A-10 Rookie of the Week honors, it appears Zahirah Walton is hungry for more.

The sophomore sensation exploded yet again this week, leading the Mason women’s hoops squad to a fifth straight victory on Wednesday afternoon in DC with a decisive 57-41 victory over George Washington.

Walton posted a career-best performance in points with 23 and rebounds with 16 rebounds, along with two blocks and two steals.

It was the Green & Gold’s first win in Foggy Bottom since 2019.

🔺 Splish Splash. Winning a race is always good. How about when you win four?

That’s what junior swimmer Ali Tyler was a part of for the Mason swimming & diving team this past weekend in a 137-125 victory over in-state rival Old Dominion.

Tyler’s performance earned her Atlantic 10 Women’s Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week accolades.

🔺 Eyes On Her. With the best start in Atlantic 10 history and one of the best starts in school history already on the resume for 2023-24, it’s no wonder the eyes are on Mason women’s head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis.

This week, Blair-Lewis was one of 10 coaches named to the 2024 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award.

This is the inaugural season of the award, and the award is named after the legendary former Harvard head coach.
