🔼 Rolling the Thunder. Well, if you didn’t know Ta’Viyanna Habib before this week, you sure do now.

After pouring in 18 points in Mason’s season opening win on Monday over Bowie State, the JUCO transfer topped that with a 20-point outing in a thrilling 84-77 win over the Thundering Herd of Marshall on Thursday night at EagleBank Arena.

Habib was one of four Patriots in double-figures as she finished 6-of-10 from the floor and 8-of-11 from the charity stripe, while also grabbing seven rebounds.

Taylor Jameson (11), Zahirah Walton (11) and Sonia Smith (10) all finished in double-digits along with Habib.

🔼 Council Meeting at EBA TONIGHT. Usually when Patriots and Governors get together, it’s in a government building.

Tonight that meeting will be happening at EagleBank Arena as two undefeated basketball teams take the court in a Friday Night Showdown.

Both teams are 1-0 after season-opening victories earlier this week prior to tonight’s fourth-ever meeting between the two schools, who haven’t faced off in 20 years.

Tonight’s matchup is the first of seven Mason hoops games on MASN.

🔼 First Peak. After a stellar weekend at the Citadel next week, fans will get a first look at talented Mason wrestling squad at home this weekend.

The Patriots make their home debuts as they host the annual Mason duals on Saturday at the Mason Field House.

Last week in SC, Chad Nix (285) and DJ McGee (157) led the way being crowned champions in the six-team Battle of the Citadel.

🔼 The Final Stand. Leaving it all on the court.

That’s the mindset of the Mason volleyball team as they take on Fordham in the final A-10 series of the regular season. The Patriots enter the weekend needing two wins to possibly sneak into one of the final spots in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

The 2023 season has brought the highest win total since 2018 for the Green & Gold. And with many of Mason’s top players set to return in 2024, the future is very bright for the Patriots.
