The historic season for Mason’s women’s basketball team isn’t over yet.

Late Sunday night, the Patriots got their invitation to the WBIT.

After a 23-6 regular season, Mason earned a spot in the postseason and will head to battle Penn State on Thursday at 6 pm in State College.

🔺 Leading The Pack. What a year it was.

It’s tough to find someone who loves George Mason more than Tony Skinn and it was evident in his first season at the helm of the men’s basketball program.

Ushering in the most regular season wins since 2011-12, Skinn was named a finalist for the 2024 Joe B. Hall Award, presented annually to the top rookie, first-year men's basketball Division I head coach.
 
The 20 wins this year ranked fifth-most amongst first-time head coach-led programs in the nation and are tied for the second-most in school history by a first-year Mason head coach.

🔺 Little Playing Big. The only thing little about Lucas is his last name.

Junior middle blocker Lucas Little had a huge week for the Patriots men’s volleyball team, who swept a home series over Mount Olive this past weekend.

His performance earned him EIVA Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this year and third time in his career.

Tomorrow night, the Mason women’s hoops team heads to State College to take on Penn State in the WBIT.

This is the fourth matchup between these two programs all-time and first since 2019.
