🌟 TOMORROW’S THE DAY

This week, it’s time to come together once again to make an impact on the eighth annual Mason Athletics Vision Day.

We’re calling all of Mason Nation to come together TOMORROW, April 4th to support our Green & Gold.

Vision Day is an opportunity for every Patriot to support their favorite athletic program at Mason. Alumni, friends, and supporters interested in making their mark on Mason Athletics are encouraged to participate in the day of giving and support specific projects that resonate with their Mason experience.

🏀 JUST GETTING STARTED

The 2023-24 season was just a glimpse of what’s to come for Mason basketball with thrilling victories, the highest combined win total EVER and the highest attendance since 2019-20.

Watch out world, Mason Nation is just getting started….

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 They’reee Bacckkk. Coming off a 20-win season, the Patriots recently learned that two of their key cogs will be back in the Green & Gold next year.

Captains Jared Billups and Darius Maddox both announced that they will be returning for their final years of eligibility in 2024-25.

Maddox started 27 games for the Patriots, ranking second on the team in scoring (14.0 ppg), while knocking down a team-high 67 three-pointers at a 41.4-percent clip.

As the only player to start all 32 games for the Green & Gold, Billups was the heartbeat of this year’s squad. He helped instill the #PatriotPressure from the jump, tallying the second-highest steal total on the team (29), while averaging 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds.

🔺 Jack Of All Trades. Coming off one of the wins in recent program history, one of the stars of that win for Mason men’s volleyball was recognized for his performance.

For the fourth time in his career and first of this season, Jack Bolz was named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week.

The senior outside hitter helped the Patriots to a 2-0 weekend, including a win over #15 Princeton, piling up 35 kills with a .394 hitting percentage, 14 digs, and five blocks in the two games.

🔺 Getting Defensive. We’ve always been told that defense wins championships, right?

Defense definitely helped the Patriots pick up a second straight A-10 win this past weekend and the anchor of that unit was honored as Meghan Deehan was named the A-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

It’s the first such honor of her career.

She is the third Patriot this season to earn an Atlantic 10 weekly award. Shannon Tuozzo was named Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 26 and Daniella Jimenez was named Rookie of the Week a week ago.
