Patriot Brew 12/20: Key To Our Hearts

Hall, Patriots Move to 7-0 At Home

Good Morning Mason Nation. We’ve all seen the commercials where there’s a small box under the tree. The recipient opens the box and there’s a key and a brand new vehicle in the driveway.

On Tuesday night, there was a Key under the tree for every Patriot fan as Mason rolled to a perfect 7-0 at home and 11 straight home wins.

What all is stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out!

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Key To Our Hearts. Sophomore transfer Keyshawn Hall had exploded onto the scene already this season.

The Patriot standout took it to another level on Tuesday night with a HUGE night at EBA with 36 point, 12 rebound performance in a 84-60 romp over Bridgewater.

Mason is now a perfect 7-0 at home and have won 11 straight inside EagleBank Arena.

Joining Hall on his big night, freshman Baraka Okojie stepped up as well, tallying a career-best 17 points in his first ever start. He also chipped in six rebounds and two assists.

🔺 Holiday Traveling. Before heading home for the holidays, Mason’s wrestling squad is traveling with their other family.

The Patriots will hit the mats in the Tar Heel State twice on Thursday with dual meets against Gardner-Webb (1 pm) and Queen University of Charlotte (6 pm) on tap.

Nate Higley will look to continue his strong start to the season as he was named MAC Wrestler of the Week earlier this month.

🔺 Bounce Back Time. Two of the most prolific defensive teams in the country took the court on Monday in Greenville.

Chaos and intense pressure ensued with 51 combined turnovers, but unfortunately, the shots fell for one team and not the other as the Patriots dropped a tough 65-44 road decision to a red-hot East Carolina squad.

Freshman Kennedy Harris led a defensive effort that saw the Green & Gold force ECU into 27 turnovers with Harris picking up a career-high five steals in the contest.

Offensively, Ta’Viyanna Habib led the way for Mason with nine points.
