🔼 Big League Company. It’s back baby!
That’s right, Mason Night at Nationals Park is back this year on Sept. 6th when they host the New York Mets.
Special ticket pricing, discounted seats and even a Mason/Nationals co-branded quarter zip pullover!
🔼 Moving On Up! We’ve highlighted how Mason assistant coach Alyssa Whitehead’s name is already a part of the Jamaican history books.
Sure they became the first Jamaican team to earn a point, then the first to win a World Cup match… why not add to it and become the first Caribbean nation to advance to the round of 16!
That’s exactly what Whitehead and the Reggae Girlz did with a 0-0 tie against Brazil, who entered the match as the 7th-ranked team in the world.
Again, think about this, prior to this year, Jamaica had never earned a point at a Women’s World Cup.
As part of the defensive coaching staff and in charge of the keepers, Whitehead’s unit has been spectacular, not allowing a goal in the entire opening round stage.
Up next for the Jamaicans? Colombia in the Round of 16 on August 8th at 4 AM EST.
The game can be found on FoxSports.com.

🔼 Now That’s Some Elite Company. We all know how world class the Mason soccer pitch is here in Fairfax.
Now, the rest of the world knows too as the Patriots hosted three English Premier League clubs for training sessions this July.
It began with Arsenal and then Pumas came through and just recently Aston Villa joined in the party and enjoyed our pitch!
Now that’s some good company to keep!
🌠 THE LEWIS ERA
Listen and Learn. New Athletic Director Marvin Lewis is officially one month into his new gig in Fairfax.
This week, he sat down to reflect on his first 30 days on the job and what the future has in store for Mason Nation.
⭐️ PATRIOT COUNTDOWN: 15 DAYS
We are counting down the days to start of the 2023-2024 athletic calendar with some of the best moments, stars, and much more from Mason history.
New Face, New Place. Olivia Bradley is one of 13 new faces wearing the Green and Gold this fall for the women’s soccer squad.
Bradley, a West Chester, Pa. native, will don #13 for the Patriots this fall.
The 5-5 forward played her club ball with Penn Fusion, a program that has turned out countless collegiate players over the years.
Bradley is a speedy, athletic forward that will give opposing back line fits for the next four years.
🤔 PATRIOT TRIVIA
Saving the Day. Coach Whitehead has put her coaching knowledge on display for the entire world this summer, helping the Jamaican national team to three straight shutouts in the group stage of the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Over the years, there’s been a long list of historic goalkeepers for the Patriots who have appeared on national teams several times.
Our question today… who’s the all-time program leader in saves?
Got a guess?

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER
Answer: Jaime Pagliarulo.
A four-year starter during her time in Fairfax, she made 81 appearances in net for Mason, tallying 375 career saves, 22 more than any other player in program history.
She was three-time All-CAA, three-time All-Virginia, three-time NSCAA All-Region and three times she was named second-team NSCAA All-American. In 1997, while playing for Mason, she was a member of the U.S. National Team. She also was on that team in 2001.
Have a great Friday, ya’ll!
