A new era is officially here for our beloved University and Athletics department.

Yesterday, George Mason University unveiled a completely redesigned logo as the capstone of its three-year-long comprehensive rebrand. The new look, which will include a single logo for the university and its athletics program, asserts George Mason’s emerging identity as a national top 50 public university and Virginia’s top-ranked university for innovation and upward mobility, as well as the commonwealth’s largest, most innovative, and most diverse university.

The ongoing rebrand signals George Mason’s convention-defying rise to become a leading national public research university by expanding access to excellence through an unwavering commitment to inclusive innovation. The rebrand rollout began in 2021, with preparations to mark 50 years of George Mason as a university in 2022 with updated brand narrative that proclaims the university’s distinct approach to education as All Together Different.

🔺 We Must Protect This House. Now, it’s time to defend our turf.

With the spring seasons winding down, several Patriot squads are battling for the final spots in the upcoming A-10 postseason tournaments. All three of those programs are at HOME this weekend.

The women’s lacrosse squad is sitting in the sixth and final A-10 spot currently and hosts Saint Joseph’s in the regular season finale this weekend. A win by the Patriots would secure a berth in the conference tournament for the first time since 2019.

Over at Spuhler Field, the baseball boys have four weekend series left and currently sit just one game out of the final playoff spot with 12 conference games remaining. This weekend, the rival VCU visits Fairfax for a three-game showdown beginning Friday at 3 pm.

With only six conference games remaining, the defending A-10 champion Mason softball squad is looking to make a final push to earn one of the remaining spots in the postseason tournament. The Patriots are just two games out of the sixth and final spot with two of the teams they are battling on the schedule. This weekend, Mason hosts St. Bonaventure in a three-game set beginning Saturday with a 1pm doubleheader.

🔺 Time To Shine. No better place to shine than the Sunshine State, right?

That’s what two of Mason’s squads are looking to do this weekend with the men’s tennis and men’s golf programs battling at Atlantic 10 Championships in Orlando, Fla.

This morning, the men’s tennis squad takes on fourth-seeded Saint Louis in the A-10 quarterfinals, while the golf squad hits the links for the first round of the conference championships.

As we’ve mentioned before, Shannon Tuozzo is having a record-setting season for the Patriots women’s lacrosse program.

The senior ranks in the top-20 nationally in goals with 56 and has the Green & Gold in position to reach the A-10 postseason for the first time since 2019.
