Good Morning Patriots. The rest of the world may be playing pranks all day, but the George Mason men’s volleyball team is ALL BUSINESS.
Another home sweep by the Patriots showed the men’s volleyball scene that this group ain’t foolin’ around this year.
And the fellas weren’t the only ones piling up the wins this weekend. What a weekend it was for the Green & Gold.

🌟 MAKE AN IMPACT
This week, it’s time to come together once again to make an impact on the eighth annual Mason Athletics Vision Day.
We’re calling all of Mason Nation to come together this Thursday, April 4th to support our Green & Gold.
Vision Day is an opportunity for every Patriot to support their favorite athletic program at Mason. Alumni, friends, and supporters interested in making their mark on Mason Athletics are encouraged to participate in the day of giving and support specific projects that resonate with their Mason experience.

🔺 Not In Our House. And the train keeps rolling along!
Two more home matches. Two more victories.
The 19th-ranked George Mason men’s volleyball team kept up its winning ways with a HUGE weekend, taking a 3-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Friday and picking up a thrilling 3-2 win over #15 Princeton on Saturday night.
With nine straight wins, the Patriots now have 15 wins on the year, tied for the highest single season total in the past five seasons.
Leading the way was Jack Bolz, who unleashed 35 kills in the two matches, including a 23-kill performance against Sacred Heart.
🔺 Bond… Wesley Bond. We’re not sure if he likes martinis, but we know he can outrun the back guys.
Senior Wesley Bond had quite a weekend in Raleigh as the veteran distance runner set a new school record to pace the Patriots track & field squad at the prestigious Raleigh Relays at NC State.
Bond broke the program record in the 10000m and did so comfortably, toppling the previous mark by 24 seconds. His time of 29:12.18 surpassed Jack Ikenberry’s former record.
🔺 Bye George. All wins are good, but rivalry wins? They mean a little more.
A stout second-half defensive effort, led by veteran goalkeeper, Meghan Deehan, propelled the Mason women’s lacrosse team to a 13-8 win over nearby and conference rival, George Washington.
The win is the eighth of the season for the Green & Gold, the highest single-season win total since 2019.
Deehan had a season-high 14 saves, while allowing just two second half goals, which allowed Mason offense to go to work, outscoring GW by a 6-2 second half tally.
🔺 Feelin’ The Love. After spending a weekend in the City of Brotherly Love, the Mason men’s tennis team is feeling plenty of love.
The Patriots swept an A-10 weekend with defeats of Saint Joseph’s (4-0) and St. Bonaventure (4-2) to sit at 2-0 in conference play for the first time in school history.
18 years ago, it was a time, we’d never forget.
Mason Madness took over not just the Mid-Atlantic region, but the entire country.
