Sure, a Super Bowl win is nice, but we’ve got 🖐 victories to celebrate with weekend sweeps from hoops and lacrosse!

🔺 One Hall Of A Win. Total team effort.
That’s the only way Coach Skinn could describe a thrilling road win on Saturday for Mason’s men’s hoops squad, who rode the second half of Keyshawn Hall and a HUGE came from the bench to a 57-55 win at Davidson.
Hall scored a game-high 25 points, 23 of which came in the second half, while also grabbing six rebounds.
Leading the day from the bench was graduate guard Tre' Wood, who poured in a season-high 12 points and grabbed four rebounds, while freshman Austin Ball matched his career best with eight points. Behind those efforts, the Patriots held a sizable +22 (26-4) edge in bench scoring for the game.

The Mason women’s hoops squad picked up their ninth win in their past 10 games with their first-ever win at Dayton Arena on Sunday, dropping the Flyers in dominant fashion, 74-50.
Sophomore Zahirah Walton continued her breakout season with a game-high 19 points along with eight rebounds, three steals and two assists.
All 10 Patriots scored at least two points, with four tallying double-figures, Zahirah Walton (19), Sonia Smith (13), Paula Suárez (10) and Ta'Viyanna Habib (10).
🔺 Grand Opening. Now THAT’S how you get things started!
For the first time in six years, the Mason women’s lacrosse team is 2-0 after a season opening weekend sweep against two in-state rivals.
On Friday, the Patriots opened up their 2024 campaign in thrilling fashion, picking up an 11-10 overtime win over William & Mary. That was followed up with a decisive 16-8 win over Radford on Sunday afternoon in Fairfax.
Veterans Shannon Tuozzo and Chloe Reed led the offensive with five goals apiece on the weekend, while Morgan Gunn had six points with four goals and two assists in the two victories.

In Saturday’s critical win at Davidson, the Patriots got nearly half of their points off the bench.
Led by Tre Wood, Mason’s bench outscored Davidson 26-4.
