🔼 Pressure Points. If you weren’t sure what “Patriot Pressure” was all about, now you do.
Mason continued to solidify their defensive identity en route to a stifling 67-45 win over visiting Austin Peay in front of a raucous crowd at EagleBank Arena on Friday night.
The victory moved the Patriots to 2-0 under Coach Skinn as they held the Governors to just 28.8-percent from the field and just three 3-pointers, that comes after APU scored 90 points and hit 17 3s in their opener.
Through the first two games of 2023-24, Mason is holding the opposition to just 31.5-percent from the field.
Once again, Amari Kelly led the Patriots in the scoring column, finishing with 14 points and five rebounds, while Keyshawn Hall registered his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

🎥: The Highlights
🔼 It’s Been A Whilllleee. Not a single member of the Mason women’s basketball team was born the last time it happened.
Now, they are all a part of it. The Patriots are off to a 3-0 start for the first time in 23 years after a gritty, hard-fought 77-72 road win at William & Mary on Sunday.
The women’s team used their own form of defense to force 19 turnovers from the Tribe.
Seniors Sonia Smith and Taylor Jameson both scored 16 points, while freshman Kennedy Harris added 15 points and classmate Nekhu Mitchell scored a season-high 10 points. It marked the third straight game that the Patriots had four in double-figures.
🔼 Welcome Home. The Mason wrestling squad opened up their 2023-24 home slate on Saturday with a busy day on the mats.
Victories over The Citadel, Millersville and Williams College helped the Patriots to a 3-1 mark at the annual hosting of the Mason Duals.
DJ McGee (157) and Malachi DuVall (184) both posted three wins on the day
🔼 Senior Sendoff. The best way to send-off your seniors is with a W.
That’s exactly what the Mason volleyball program did this weekend as the Patriots wrapped up their 2023 season with a 3-0 sweep of Atlantic 10 foe, Fordham.
The win was the Patriots’ ninth of the season, the highest win total since 2018.
In her final collegiate volleyball match, Gracie Halley tallied 13 digs to bring her season total to 468, etching her name into the Mason record books with the second-most single season digs in program history.
Offensively, Mason was led by the junior pair of Ewelina Gacek and Olyvia Kennedy, who both tallied double-figure kills. Gacek notched a game-high 15 kills to go with 11 digs for her fourth double-double of the season. Kennedy tallied 13 kills.
