🔺 Queens Of The Mount(ain)! There’s just something special about coming home. What makes it even more special is when its your birthday!

Head Coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis wrapped it all into one jam-packed, emotional and successful day in western Maryland as Mason’s women’s basketball team continued its historic 2023-24 season with a dominant 77-30 victory over The Mount, Blair-Lewis’ alma mater.

On a day she not only celebrated her birthday, but also returned to a place where she is one of the legends and where her coaching career started, the win by the Green & Gold gave her 350 career victories.

The win came in historic fashion as the Patriots held the Mount to just 30 points, the fewest by any opponent since 1991.

Freshman Kennedy Harris matched a career-high with 15 points to lead five Patriots in double-figures. Classmate Page Greenburg also set a career-high with 12 points, including four 3-pointers.

Mason had 19 assists on 28 baskets with Taylor Jameson and Paula Suárez each matching career-highs with six assists apiece.

🔺 For The Kids. Before heading into finals week, Mason’s men’s volleyball team got to squeeze in one more trip to their buddies at Oak View Elementary School in Fairfax.

The Patriots spent time playing, reading and just catching up with their friends.

Through the Adopt-A-School program, the Green & Gold will spend time throughout the year stopping in and hanging out with the students at Oak View.

Ok ok, no singing will be required, but there will be plenty of holiday spirit when the Mason men’s basketball team hosts a special showing of “Elf” on December 17th.

Patriot fans and families can join the men’s squad from 3-6pm at University Mall Theaters.

Pictures with the team will be available and a surprise visit from the Mason Basketball Santa and his elves!
