🎅 SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER

Nothing better than the feeling of giving back and that’s what the reigning Atlantic 10 Champion Mason softball team did.

Throughout the fall, the Patriots collected coats and this wek, they dropped off bags and bags of coats to the local Salvation Army to help those in need during the holiday season.

Well done ladies!

🔺 ROAD TRIP! Who’s up for a little Saturday afternoon road trip?

Don’t worry, there’s some outlets on the way you can hit for holiday shopping.

The Mason women’s basketball team looks to extend their historic start to the 2023-24 season when they return to the court in Emmitsburg, Md. to take on Mount St. Mary’s.

Last time out, the Patriots gave perennial national power Maryland, all they could handle until the Terps pulled away late for the 86-77 win.

Senior Sonia Smith has been outstanding for the Green & Gold as the Maryland native enters this weekend averaging 15.4 points, 3.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds in the eight games this year.

🔺 Historic Mark. In 2018, the NCAA started using NET rankings, a formula that was created to assist in the NCAA Tournament selection process.

Throughout the season, NET rankings will be updated and released with the first edition coming out this week.

Off to the best start in program history, the Patriots find themselves 82nd nationally, the highest-ever mark achieved by the Green & Gold.

🎬 BUDDY AND THE PATRIOTS

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”

Ok ok, no singing will be required, but there will be plenty of holiday spirit when the Mason men’s basketball team hosts a special showing of “Elf” on December 17th.

Patriot fans and families can join the men’s squad from 3-6pm at University Mall Theaters.

Pictures with the team will be available and a surprise visit from the Mason Basketball Santa and his elves!
