🔺 All Heart, All The Time. We never said it would be easy, right? Conference games, there’s just nothing like them.

After three straight tough losses and facing a perennial A-10 contender in St. Bonaventure, the Green & Gold dug in defensively when they need it the most and gutted out a 69-60 home victory on Saturday afternoon.

Mason held the Bonnies to just three field goals in the final 12 minutes, while limiting SBU to under 36-percent from the field for the contest.

Sophomore Keyshawn Hall tallied 13 points and eight rebounds for the Patriots, while graduate forward Amari Kelly added 13 points and seven rebounds.

Senior Darius Maddox hit two crucial 3-pointers late and finished with 10 points, while freshman point guard Baraka Okojie made two key steals down the stretch and finished with eight points and a game-high four assists.

🔺 Hold Up, Wait A Minute. And the train keeps rolling.

For the fourth straight game and sixth time in the seven outings, the Mason women’s hoops squad took home a W. On Sunday afternoon, the Green & Gold turned on the defense en route to a 73-52 victory at UMass, the first road win against the Minutewomen since 2019.

All five of the Patriots’ A-10 wins this season have been with a margin of 20+ points.

Three Patriots scored in double-figures, led by Sonia Smith with 15, who has scored 15 or more points over the last five contests. Zahirah Walton was right behind her with 14 points, including going 5-5 from the free throw line, to go with seven rebounds, three steals and two assists. Taylor Jameson was the third in the doubl-digits with 10 points.

🔺 Saturday Sweepin’. Mason's women’s basketball team wasn’t the only one who picked up road Ws over the weekend.

The men’s volleyball squad split their weekend matches, including a dominating 3-0 Saturday sweep at Sacred Heart. On Friday, the Patriots battled #2 Long Beach State, but dropped a tough 3-1 decision.

Junior sensation Omar Hoyos led the way once again with 23 kills on the weekend.

🔺 Need For Speed. It was a busy weekend on the track once again as the Green & Gold blazed the tracks at two different meets.

Several Patriots joined the All-Time list as athletes competed at the Hokie Invitational and VMI Team Challenge
