🔺 Seven UP. The temps are starting to heat up outside and while we can’t confirm it, they could be affected by what’s heating up inside the RAC.
That would be the 17th-ranked George Mason men’s volleyball squad.
A weekend sweep of Tusculum extended the Patriots win streak to seven and improved Mason’s home record this season to a perfect 7-0.
During the current winning streak, the Green & Gold have lost a total of four sets in those seven matches.
🔺 No Duking Us. Put that one in the W column.
The Mason women’s lacrosse team picked up conference win number 1️⃣ this weekend, dropping Duquesne 16-9 in road action on Saturday.
It was a second half showcase for the Green & Gold as they dominated the Dukes, 10-2, in the final 30 minutes en route to the victory.
Yet again, Shannon Tuozzo was phenomenal, posting a five-goal, three assist day to lead the offensive attack. She is currently one of only nine players in the country with 40+ goals this season.
🔺 Cat Tamers. The fingernails of Mason baseball fans might be a little shorter than usual after this weekend.
The Patriots grinded out a two one-run victories en route to a series win over visiting Villanova this past weekend.
With an adjusted schedule due to the rain, Mason pulled out a 6-5 and 3-2 doubleheader sweep on Friday to secure the series victory.

Omar Hoyos unleashed 25 kills during the weekend sweep of Tusculum. He’s now had 11 straight matches with double-digit kills and is now on the cusp of reaching the top-10 all-time in program history.
