🏀 Men’s basketball improves to 19-2
🏀 Women’s basketball beats Davidson on the road

George Mason Athletics is celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a Youth Sports Carnival at the women’s basketball game against Saint Louis tomorrow. Come early and attend the pre-game event on the concourse beginning at 2 p.m. The carnival will feature games and autograph signings with student-athletes. Alumni will also be honored as we kick off Homecoming Week. Tickets are on sale for just $8.

🔼  Patriot Pressure. George Mason men’s basketball put together one of its best defensive outings of the season to beat Davidson 60-52 on Wednesday night. The Patriots held the Wildcats to 18 second half points. Kory Mincy led George Mason with 19 points to go with six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. The Patriots are now 7-1 in conference play and 19-2 overall. They’ll play at St. Bonaventure tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. on USA Network.

🔼 Road Test = Passed. The women’s basketball team also took care of business on Wednesday! They beat Davidson 62-51 on the road for just the second time ever. Zahirah Walton led the team with 14 points, six rebounds, four steals, and two blocks. The Patriots are now 9-0 in conference play for the first time in program history. George Mason will host Saint Louis tomorrow at 3 p.m.

🔼  Double Trouble. Two Patriots earned Atlantic 10 weekly track & field honors after a successful showing at the Hokie Invitational. Davian Burke was named the A-10 Men’s Track Performer of the Week after running a personal best time and claiming third in the 60m hurdles. Kennedy Drish earned A-10 Women’s Field Performer of the Week after placing second in the women’s pole vault unseeded section.

The track & field teams will host the Patriot Games this weekend.

🔼 Super Dual. George Mason wrestling takes on conference rival Rider tonight at 5 p.m. at the Johnson Center! Admission is free and fans will receive a free rally towel. On Sunday, the Patriots will take on Lock Haven on the road at noon.

🔼  No Place Like Home. Patriot men’s volleyball is home for the weekend! They’ll host the Uvaldo Acosta Memorial Tournament at the RAC. The Patriots will play Mount Olive tonight at 6 p.m. Tomorrow, they’ll take on No. 10 Ball State at 5 p.m. Saturday’s game will be George Mason’s Military Appreciation Day and the first 200 fans will receive a camo hat.
