Be There For Games Against The A-10’s Elite
Women's basketball hosts top A-10 squads Rhode Island on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Richmond on Monday at 4 p.m.! Help cheer on the Patriots in their race for an A-10 regular-season title.
🔼 Rockin’ Rook. Patriot women’s basketball’s Mary Amoateng was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week! She scored a career-high 17 points with five assists, two steals, and two rebounds against Richmond on Saturday. Amoateng and the Patriots will play at Dayton today at 11 a.m.
🔼 Leading The Way. Men’s volleyball junior Aidan Weltin was named the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week! He led the Patriot offense through both wins against Manhattan over the weekend. On Friday, he recorded a career-high 21 kills in four sets played. The next day, he led the team with 12 kills to cap off a 2-0 weekend. Weltin led the team in service aces, kills, kills per set, points, points per set, and serve percentage among those with 30 or more attempts.
🔼 Fell Short. George Mason men’s basketball struggled in the first half, resulting in an 82-70 loss at Richmond. Richmond’s hot shooting, particularly from beyond the arc, proved to be the difference in the game. Fatt Hill led the Patriots with a season-high 23 points, adding eight rebounds. George Mason will play at George Washington on Friday night.
🔼 Weekend Roundup. George Mason softball opened the 2026 season with a 2-3 record at the Charleston Invitational. The Patriots secured wins against Central Michigan and Charleston Southern but fell to College of Charleston, Marist, and St. John’s. Notable performances included Tess Altevers Harris’s home run and three RBIs against Central Michigan and Abbey Lane’s complete-game shutout against Charleston Southern.
