🔼 Senior Celebration. George Mason women’s basketball defeated Loyola Chicago 67-55 on Wednesday, led by Zahirah Walton’s 22 points and six rebounds. The Patriots dominated the boards and forced turnovers, securing the win with strong free-throw shooting and defensive stops.
The Patriots will celebrate Senior Day tomorrow at 3 p.m. as they host George Washington. Fans at home can stream the game on ESPN+.
Girl Scout Day Set For Saturday!
At Saturday's women's basketball game vs. GW, Girl Scouts can learn a cheer/dance routine from Mason Spirit pregame, then perform with the teams at halftime! Tickets are just $8 for this special event and can be purchased here.
🔼 Record Week. The George Mason men’s swimming and diving team set a new Atlantic 10 Conference record and two program records on day one of the Atlantic 10 Championships. The team of Tate Anderson, Alex Crown, Cody Scifres, and Ryan Serbia won the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 6:23.83 to set a program and conference record. Anderson also set a program record with his lead-off split in the 200-freestyle.
Tate Anderson won the 200 IM on day two. The Patriot men’s swimming team is currently in second place.
🔼 Tourney Time. George Mason softball will host a tournament this weekend! The Patriots will host Hofstra today at 3:30 p.m., followed by a matchup with Fairleigh Dickinson at 6 p.m. Tomorrow, they’ll play Hofstra at noon and FDU at 3 p.m.
🔼 Swinging Seaside. Patriot baseball will spend the weekend in Charleston, South Carolina to play in the Swig & Swine Classic. The Patriots will play Seton Hall today at 4 p.m. Tomorrow, they’ll take on Ball State at noon. The weekend will conclude on Sunday against Seton Hall at 10 a.m.
🔼 Road Weekend. The men’s volleyball team hits the road to New Jersey for the weekend. They’ll play at No. 19 NJIT tonight at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. Tomorrow, they’ll play at FDU at 2 p.m. on NEC FrontRow.
