🔼 Successful Season. George Mason wrestlers had a successful showing at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Wrestling Championships, with all four qualifiers advancing to the second day of competition for the first time in program history. DJ McGee finished in the top 16 for the second consecutive championship, while Kaden Cassidy, Logan Messer, and Malachi DuVall also had notable performances.

🔼 Drish It Out. The George Mason track & field teams opened their 2026 outdoor season with strong performances at the Bob Davidson Team Challenge. Freshman Kellen La Roche won the high jump and long jump, while Kennedy Drish set a new outdoor school record in the pole vault. Ella Semple, Robbie Jenkins, and Walt Bannerman also delivered standout performances, leading the Atlantic 10 in their respective events.

🔼 Weekend Sweeping. Patriot men’s volleyball swept Sacred Heart twice on the road over the weekend! They started things off with a 3-0 win on Friday as Aidan Weltin recorded a game-high 17 kills. On Saturday, George Mason swept the Pioneers again behind Weltin’s 11 kills.

🔼 Steel City Win. George Mason lacrosse defeated Duquesne 16-14 on Saturday, with nine unassisted goals. The Patriots led throughout the game, extending their lead in the third quarter with an 8-3 scoring advantage. Kate Anders led the Patriots with five goals, one assist, and one ground ball. They’ll play at Davidson on Saturday.
