🔼 He’s The Man. George Mason’s Vaughn McMeans has been named the Atlantic 10 Men’s Golfer of the Year! He led the Patriots to a historic runner-up finish at the A-10 Championship. He also anchored George Mason with a program-record 70.8 stroke average.

🔼 Trio Of Trophies. George Mason distance runners competed at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday. Ella Semple won the 1500m as the lone women’s competitor for the Patriots. Alex DeRoussel won the men’s 3000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 8:50.29. Lloyd Sheppard-Brown capped the day with a win in the men’s 5000m to move to second in George Mason’s outdoor all-time list. The Patriots will return to action on Sunday when several athletes compete at the Dani Palooza Last Chance Qualifying Meet.

🔼 Patriot Quartet. Four Mason men’s tennis players earned Atlantic 10 honors! Edgar Vilain was named the A-10 Most Outstanding Rookie of the Year after posting a 13-6 overall singles record. Monil Lotlikar earned A-10 All-Conference Second Team honors after leading George Mason with a 14-7 overall singles record. Niza Simunyola and Deniz Okyay earned All-Academic Team honors, while Okyay also made an appearance on the Second Team.

🔼 Postseason Praise. Patriot women’s tennis junior Cenan Liu earned A-10 All-Conference Second Team honors. She compiled five dual-match victories and four tournament wins.

🔼 Regular Season Finale. George Mason baseball hosts the final series of the regular season. They’ll take on La Salle today at 2 p.m.
