🔼 Tourney Time. All the early morning workouts. All the extra drills. It all builds up to this week for the George Mason baseball squad.

After completing a series sweep of La Salle over the weekend, the Patriots secured the fourth seed for the 2026 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship, which is set to get underway on Wednesday morning at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va.

Mason has now earned a postseason ticket in six of the past 10 seasons after going 18-12 this year in league play.

🔼 Senior Salutin’. No better way to send out the seniors than with a sweep, right?

That’s exactly what the George Mason baseball team did this past weekend, rolling to victories of 17-5, 10-4 and 8-7 to complete their fourth A-10 series sweep of the season.

In the three games, the Patriots piled up 35 runs and 34 hits, including 10 extra-base hits, highlighted by four HRs.

🔼 Making Waves. The George Mason rowing team's Varsity 4+ boat qualified for the Atlantic 10 Championship grand final for the first time in more than a decade to highlight the Patriots’ weekend at the conference regatta this past weekend.

It marked the Green & Gold's first Varsity 4+ grand final since 2015. GMU placed third in its heat in 8:26.15, then placed sixth in the grand final in a time of 8:45.58 to cap an excellent day of racing for the Patriots.

George Mason and Rhode Island have met three times in the Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship.  The Patriots won the first two both opening-round games.  In the first meeting, the Patriots hit three home runs and Mason hurlers combined for 10 strikeouts on the way to a 9-5 victory over the Rams on May 24, 2017 in St. Louis, Mo.  In the 2022 A-10 Championship, the Patriots rallied for five runs in the top of the ninth inning to top the Rams, 7-3, on May 24, 2022 in Davidson, N.C.  Last year, top-seeded Rhode Island defeated second-seeded George Mason, 4-1, on championship Saturday at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va.
