Fourth-Seeded Patriots Set To Take On URI In Opening Round of Atlantic 10 Tournament
Good Morning, Mason Nation. Our Patriots are making an impact not just on the field, but in our community as well.
All that and more in today’s Brew! Check it out below!
⚾ Here.We.Go!
🤝 Making Connections
⭐ And much, much more!
🔼 Here We Go. All the early morning workouts. All the extra drills. It all was for moments like this.
Today, the George Mason baseball team opens play at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship. The Patriots, who are the fourth seed are set to face fifth-seeded Rhode Island in the first round this morning at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va., with the first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m.
The loser of Game 1 will play the loser of Game 2 (No. 3 VCU/No. 6 Davidson) later in the evening at 7 p.m. (Game 3). The winner of Game 1 will advance to the next round and face top-seeded Saint Joseph's, which will be played the following morning at 11 a.m. (Game 4).
George Mason (28-24, 18-12 Atlantic 10) will compete in the A-10 Championship for the sixth time in 10 seasons and the seventh time in program history.
🔼 Drive To Five. Even before stepping on the field in today’s Atlantic 10 Tournament opener, the Patriots baseball squad already has hardware to bring home.
On Tuesday, five members of this year’s squad earned All-Conference accolades.
Senior shortstop Owen Clyne was selected First Team All-Conference shortstop for the second straight year and was also named to the 13-member A-10 All-Academic Team.
Senior Logan Rumberg and sophomore Jake Drumm were each named Second Team All-Conference starting pitcher, while sophomore Lucas Alberti was tabbed Second Team All-Conference outfielder. Freshman pitcher Aiden Parker was selected to the 12-member All-Rookie Team.
🔼 Building Connections. George Mason women's lacrosse student-athlete Peyton Farley turned a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunity with Yoga Commons into a meaningful partnership that created impact both on and off the field.
As someone who already embraced yoga and actively incorporated it into her lifestyle, Farley brought an authentic connection to the partnership from the very beginning. While recovering from surgery, Farley found value in prioritizing recovery, mindfulness, and wellness throughout her rehabilitation journey. Through her partnership with Yoga Commons and co-founder, Michelle Nguyen, Farley aligned those personal experiences with a local business focused on movement, recovery, and community engagement.
