🔼 The Waiting Game. Behind the right arm of senior Logan Rumberg, the Mason Baseball team rolled to a 9-1 victory on Thursday morning at the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Now, the Patriots are in a waiting game as weather continues to wreak havoc on the tournament schedule. Mason awaits the loser of this morning’s game between Richmond and VCU, which is currently in the bottom of the seventh inning and set to resume at 9 a.m.

The Patriots will play 45 minutes after the conclusion of that contest.

🏆 Tournament Central

🔼 Punchin’ Tickets. The season just got extended a little longer for six Mason Track & Field standouts.

On Thursday, six Patriots earned tickets to the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Lexington, Ky. Abby Weening leads the way with two bids (high jump and heptathlon), and she will be joined by Davian Burke (110m hurdles), Alex DeRoussel (3000m steeplechase), Kellen LaRoche (high jump), Walter Bannerman (pole vault) and Kennedy Drish (pole vault).

Following the opening round, the top 24 athletes in each event will advance to the quarterfinals, scheduled for May 29-30. The top 12 finishers from the quarterfinals will earn spots at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., set for June 10-13.
