Mason Arts venues, the Center for the Arts in Fairfax and the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, have announced their 2026–27 seasons. Discover extraordinary artists and experiences across both venues. 🔼 Better Together. George Mason Athletics and Northwest Federal Credit Union announced an expanded partnership to support student-athletes. The partnership includes financial education, banking tools, and NIL opportunities. The collaboration was introduced at Mason’s inaugural Basketball Signing Day event, celebrating the 2026-27 men’s and women’s basketball teams.

🔼  Taking Shape. The Atlantic 10 men’s basketball home and away schedule pairings have been announced. The Patriots will welcome rivals VCU and George Washington, as well as in-state foe Richmond. They’ll also host Saint Joseph’s, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, Fordham, La Salle, and Loyola Chicago.

🔼 Familiar Foes. George Mason women’s basketball also learned their conference home and away opponents for the upcoming season. Each of the A-10 teams will play 18 regular season conference games, including five home-and-home series. The Patriots will play home-and-home series against Rhode Island, George Washington, VCU, Fordham, and Davidson.

🔼 Welcome Home. Former Patriot Debbie Taneyhill returns to the women’s basketball program as an assistant coach. She had a massive impact on the program from the moment she arrived in 1988, earning CAA All-Rookie Team honors. She remains 12th in program history with 273 career assists. She served as George Mason’s assistant coach through 1997 before being elevated to head coach, a role she served in for 11 seasons.

🔼 Getting Stronger. The men’s basketball team announced the hiring of Casey Cathrall as the new strength & conditioning coach. He worked alongside Coach Skinn at Louisiana Tech for two seasons from 2015-17. Since then, he has served as the strength coach at Dayton and Miami.
