Season-Opening Fireworks. George Mason men's soccer opens its regular season home slate on Thursday, Aug. 27 with a 7 p.m. game against in-state foe William & Mary! The annual postgame fireworks show will begin approximately 30 minutes after the match's conclusion. Plus, enjoy a bounce house, balloon artist, face painter, food trucks and more during the game! Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased online or at the game on the 27th.
🔼 Strong Start. George Mason women’s soccer started the season with a 4-1 win over Virginia Military Institute! Keira Jeffries scored two goals, while Mia Casciani and Kylie Beauregard scored a goal each. The Patriots will play at James Madison on Sunday at 7 p.m.
🔼 All-Access. The first episode of NOVA’s Team All-Access is out now! Episode one features women’s basketball head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis and men’s basketball head coach Tony Skinn.
🔼 Finding His Stride. Men’s track & field junior Jackson Rowe spent his summer interning with Senator Rick Scott, gaining insight into the legislative process and the future of college athletics. His experience highlighted the importance of protecting Olympic sports and the impact of NCAA policies on student-athletes. Rowe’s internship reinforced his desire to pursue a career in public policy, utilizing the skills he developed as a student-athlete.
