Season-Opening Fireworks. George Mason men's soccer opens its regular season home slate on Thursday, Aug. 27 with a 7 p.m. game against in-state foe William & Mary! The annual postgame fireworks show will begin approximately 30 minutes after the match's conclusion. Plus, enjoy a bounce house, balloon artist, face painter, food trucks and more during the game! Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased online or at the game on the 27th.

🔼 Big Three. George Mason men’s soccer was picked to finish third in the A-10 Preseason Poll, voted on by the league’s head coaches. Three Patriots earned Preseason A-10 All-Conference honors — James Eliuda, Kelly Janssen, and Martim Sereno.

The Patriots start the season on the road tomorrow at No. 13 Vermont at 6 p.m.

🔼 Rockin’ Rookie. George Mason women’s soccer freshman Keira Jeffries was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week! She starred in her collegiate debut, recording a brace with two goals in her first collegiate game. She recorded four shots, including three on goal in the Patriots’ season-opening 4-1 win over VMI.

The Patriots host Penn tomorrow at 6 p.m.

🔼 Record Year. George Mason Athletics raised a record $4.4 million in the 2025-26 athletics season, surpassing last year’s total by $1.4 million. This success was driven by record-breaking fundraising, including a historic Giving Day and a 48.9% increase in Patriot Club membership. The funds support various initiatives, including Basketball Greatness, Athletics Opportunity Fund, Patriot Pathways, and the Sports Performance Ecosystem.
