Season-Opening Fireworks. George Mason men's soccer opens its regular season home slate on Thursday, Aug. 27 with a 7 p.m. game against in-state foe William & Mary! The annual postgame fireworks show will begin approximately 30 minutes after the match's conclusion. Plus, enjoy a bounce house, balloon artist, face painter, food trucks and more during the game! Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased online or at the game on the 27th.

🔼 Clean Up Crew. George Mason women’s soccer shut out Penn 1-0 last night! Molly Starner scored the lone goal of the game. Libby Davy recorded one save and a clean sheet in goal.

The Patriots will host Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.

🔼 Fell Short. George Mason men’s soccer lost to No. 13 Vermont 2-0 to open the season last night. Jack Desroches recorded five saves, while Angel Hernandez recorded one.

🔼 Team Up. George Mason Athletics launched the NOVA’s Team Small Business Marketing Scholarship to support local businesses in Fairfax County and Northern Virginia. The scholarship provides a comprehensive marketing package, including advertising placements, student-athlete partnerships, and event access, to help the selected business grow and connect with the Mason community. Applications are open through August, with the recipient announced on September 15.

🔼 Welcome To NOVA. Patriot women’s lacrosse has added Leah Knowles as an assistant coach. She joins George Mason after spending two seasons on staff at Wingate University. She’ll work with the offensive and draw strategies while also assisting with the Patriots’ off-the-field management.
