Top-10 Tailgate. Men's soccer hosts its biggest home match in years when the Patriots battle third-ranked Ohio State on Friday, September 25 at George Mason Stadium! All fans are welcome to tailgate in Lot P before the match. Cars and trucks can load-in beginning at 4:45 p.m. for the 5 p.m. tailgate. Alcohol is permitted but all individuals entering the tailgate area must present valid photo ID. Grills must be charcoal to be utilized within the tailgate. Tickets for the 7 p.m. game vs. the Buckeyes are just $10 and can be purchased in advance or at the gate on gameday.

🔼 Open Practice! Get your first look at the 2026-27 men's basketball team at the team's open practice tomorrow at EagleBank Arena! Doors open at 7 p.m., with the 20-minute team scrimmage beginning at 7:45 p.m. There will be Green Machine performances, videoboard entertainment and more! Prior to the open practice, all fans are welcome to participate in the fourth annual Mason Mile, beginning at President's Park on campus. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. Then at 6:30 p.m., all participants will walk or run a mile to the arena, where the practice will take place. 🔼 Two Starts, Two Titles. George Mason men’s cross country’s Alex DeRoussel continued his perfect start to the cross country season Friday, winning the Main Line Invitational with a personal-best four-mile time of 19:35.4. Biruk Beardsley crossed the line just behind him in second, while Tarek Benlamkaddem placed fifth. The Patriots finished second in the team standings, only one point behind Stony Brook.

On the women’s side, Ailbhe Barnes led Mason for the second consecutive meet, placing seventh in 17:59.7. Sarah Clark finished 12th with a personal-best time of 18:10.4 as the Patriots placed fifth as a team.

🔼 Started Strong. George Mason women’s volleyball opened the weekend with a 3-1 win over Delaware State. The Patriots hit .343 with 48 kills and 13 aces. On Saturday, George Mason fell to UNC Greensboro 3-2. The weekend concluded with a 3-0 loss to James Madison.

🔼 Double Draws. Both George Mason soccer teams opened the weekend with road draws against Saint Joseph’s.

Freshman Keira Jeffries scored her fourth goal of the season as women’s soccer played the Hawks to a 1-1 draw in its Atlantic 10 opener. The Patriots return to Fairfax Thursday to host Fordham at 6 p.m.

James Eliuda and Javier Montava Ortega supplied the goals as Mason men’s soccer erased two separate deficits in a 2-2 draw at Saint Joseph’s. The Patriots now begin a five-match homestand Friday against No. 3 Ohio State.

🔼 Ready To Roll. Men’s golf begins its 2026-27 season today at the Rod Myers Invitational in Durham, North Carolina. The Patriots will play two rounds today before closing the tournament tomorrow at Duke University Golf Club. Mason’s starting five features Philipp Krone, Aryan Vuradi, JJ Powell, Putter Aukrawat and Joe Johnson.
