⚽ Men’s soccer draws No. 12 Ohio State
🏐 Women’s volleyball sweeps A-10 opening weekend

🔼 Stood Tall. George Mason men’s soccer earned a 1-1 draw against No. 12 Ohio State on Friday. James Eliuda scored in the 83rd minute, and the Patriots finished with a 10-9 advantage in shots against the Buckeyes. The Patriots host Duquesne on Saturday night.

🔼 Won The Weekend. The George Mason men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams opened their season with first-place finishes at the Potomac Relays. The women’s team scored 354 points, winning eight events, while the men’s team scored 342 points, winning six events. Both teams will next compete against Old Dominion on Friday.

🔼 Sweeping Weekend. George Mason volleyball swept Rhode Island over the weekend to complete a 2-0 start to Atlantic 10 play. The Patriots won 3-1 on Friday, totaling 63 kills. They went on to sweep Rhode Island 3-0 on Saturday with a .494 hitting percentage, the best single-game hitting percentage in the post-2008 scoring era.

🔼 Fell Short. George Mason women’s soccer lost 3-0 to Saint Louis, conceding three goals in the second half after a scoreless first half. The Patriots will host Richmond on Saturday.
