🔼 Weekend Sweep. George Mason women’s volleyball downed UMES 3-1 on Saturday. Nia Thompson led the Patriots with 13 kills and 11 digs. The Patriots went on to sweep Hampton 3-0 on Sunday, led by Thompson once again. George Mason will play at Maryland today at 1 p.m.
🔼 First-Place Finish. George Mason cross country kicked off the season at the Salisbury University Fall Classic on Friday. Alex DeRoussel won the men’s 8k with a winning time of 24:51.6. Ailbhe Barnes finished fourth in the women’s 6k as the Patriots finished runners-up.
🔼 Fell Short. George Mason women’s soccer fell to Liberty 4-3 on the road yesterday. Mia Casciani recorded her first collegiate brace, while Mia Arevalo-Delcid also scored. The Patriots will play at Longwood on Thursday.
